“__(f/n)__, give me the wrench back!!”
“You’re gonna have to catch me, Fudo!!”
Yusei had been peacefully working to adjust his duel runner…up until a few minutes ago that is. He hadn’t been working on it that long, just a couple of days, nothing major.
Apparently though, __(f/n)__ did not agree with it, since she had decided to sneak up on him, steal his wrench and proceed to run about the house with him on her heels.
He wouldn’t have cared as much, had it been one of the ones he didn’t need at that moment, but no, she just HAD to take the one he had in his hand…
“Seriously __(f/n)__, I need that back! I’m almost done!” he protested, still trying to catch his girlfriend as she jumped over sofas and chairs in order to avoid him.
“I don’t care do I?! I wanted you out of that shed, so why would I allow you to go back, less than 5 minutes after getting you out?! You would have died, had I let you stay in there any longer!”
She had a point, kind of. He did spend the majority of his free time working on his bike and he was getting a bit tired, but it was necessary, else he wouldn’t be able to keep up with the competition! And as an avid Turbo Dueller, he needed to keep on top of his game!
“Honestly, I did you a favour, you should--Eep!”
“Finally caught you” he sighed in between trying to get his breath back as soon as he had tackled his girlfriend to the ground.
‘Man, that girl can run!’ he thought to himself.
They now lay, on the wooden floor in the hallway, both looking a bit worse for wear after having run throughout the entire house. __(f/n)__ was on her back, wrench still in hand, with him towering over her as one of his hands lay under her head, as a cushion against the hard flooring and the other supported his weight to keep him upright.
“I want my wrench back now, thank you very much” Yusei demanded, even though his tone was anything but serious as he let out a laugh or two.
“Nope, ain’t gettin’ it” __(f/n)__ giggled, holding said object close to her in an attempt to hide it.
“Is that so?” he remarked as a sly smile worked its way onto his face, before he crashed his lips into hers, in the hope that it would distract her long enough for him to get his wrench back.
What Yusei had not expected, was for __(f/n)__ to catch onto what he had planned, nor for her to bump said wrench against the side of his head just hard enough for him to pull away in surprise.
“What was that for?” he asked, rubbing the side of his head, even if the impact had not hurt in the slightest.
“You cheater. That is what you get for using cheap tricks against me” she replied, trying to pout even though the grin on her face was getting larger by the minute.
“Well, if you hadn’t stolen that wrench from me, I wouldn’t have had to do that now would I?”
“We can go on like this all day y’know, but I’d still win in the end”
The smirk on Yusei’s face grew slightly at the comment.
“Would you now?” he asked teasingly, as he rested his forehead against hers whilst making sure to keep eye contact “And why is that?”
“Very simply because then I will say that if you hadn’t been locking yourself away in that stupid shed for the last 3 days-”
“It’s not a shed” Yusei quickly interrupted, slightly offended that his workshop kept being called a shed.
“Whatever” __(f/n)__ replied bluntly before continuing where she had left off “If you hadn’t locked yourself away and ignored all the times I called you, then I would not have had to resort to other methods in order to gain my boyfriend’s attention so he would not die of food and sleep deprivation”
Yusei opened his mouth to find a counter argument, but unfortunately for him, he couldn’t find one, so he promptly closed it again.
Knowing that her boyfriend could not say anything else, __(f/n)__ tried her best to conceal her grin, but was already failing miserably “See? Told you I’d win”
“Ok, maybe you’re right…” he sighed as he sat up, allowing for __(f/n)__ to sit up as well, but before she could give any sort of remark, Yusei kissed her real quick before walking away.
__(f/n)__ had no idea what had happened or why her boyfriend had kissed her and then walked off, but when she found the hand, which had up until that moment held the wrench she had stolen, suddenly empty, everything fell into place.
“Fudo Yusei, get your butt back here right now!” she shouted before running after him.
